Follow the steps below for a full understanding of the SRS vandal resistant audio door entry product range

General

Stainless Steel

SRS vandal resistant panels are manufactured using BS316 marine grade stainless steel. This is the highest grade of stainless steel available in sheet form.

We use BS316 marine grade stainless steel because it is tougher and more resistant to corrosion than other grades of stainless steel. SRS is the only manufacturer to use this top grade for all stainless steel vandal resistant door entry panels.

BS316 is much harder to machine than other cheaper grades, but we feel the extra effort is worth it to produce a high quality product.

Polished Brass panels

Polished brass panels are built to exactly the same high standards. The only difference being the material used for the front plate of the panel.

Brass panels are not laquered or treated. The reason for this is that real brass when exposed to the elements will deteriate and needs to be cleaned with a wadding. No amount of laquer will protect the finish.

Speaker protection

We protect the speaker unit with a purpose designed BS316 stainless steel baffle plate against vandalism.

Some manufacturers use aluminium mesh on their panels (if anything) because it is cheaper.

The back box

We supply a BS316 stainless steel back box. Yes even the back box is BS316 stainless steel.

At SRS we don’t believe that you should receive galvanised or zintec coated mild steel which will show signs of rust within months. Your panels are designed to last a lifetime.

Every nut, bolt and screw in the panel is also stainless steel for maximum corrosion protection.
