Using the Back (left arrow) and Forward (right arrow) buttons you can re-visit windows that have recently viewed. The centre button allows you to switch off the Polling. While polling is switched off the PC will not receive information from the door controllers, however the PC can still send information.

The Main Event Window allows you to view the information from the door controllers as it is received.

The Card Holder window is used to add, modify & delete Card Holder information. Card Holders are members of Departments. Access rights are set by the Department. In addition you can store additional information, eg a picture.

The Department window is used to define the access rights for all Card Holders in the system. Each Department has settings which define which doors can be used and during which times.
Up to 4 Time Zones can be applied to a Door in a Department. This defines when a Card Holder may gain access through the door using an access card.

The Time Zone window is used to modify 20 pre-programmed Time Zones.
Time Zones can be adjusted to suit the requirements of a particular site.

The Doors window enables you to change door parameters such as lock time, door ajar time and apply a Time Zone to a door for the purpose of Free Access. Free Access means that the door will be unlocked during the ours specified by the selected Time Zone.

The Reporting window is where all reports are defined and generated from historical data. Reports are sent to a list on screen, they are then manipulated and printed if required. You can also export them in a .prn file format. These files can be opened by most word processing ans spread sheet applications. The Reporting window in essence is the output of the system.

The Operators window is used to establish who can gain access to the various windows in the Smart.net software. All users must also be Card Holders.

|
The System Setup window displays information on archiving data, communication, User Defined Fields and specific system settings. It will rarely be used after commissioning.

Quit Smart.net by clicking this Exit button, or select File>Exit, or click the close application box (top right corner of the screen). If you exit the application, Smart.net software will NOT be able to receive information from the door controllers.

It is sometimes usefull to prevent Smart.net software from communicating with the door controllers. This Polling Off message is only visble when the polling is turned off by clicking the "C" button above (between the forward and back arrows) |
