The monitor rings, but does not light up |
- Check that when calling from the outside external call panel that 19V is present on terminals 1 and 3. If not check:-
- In the A70 power supply check the fuses
- The voltage will only be present if the monitor rings
- Check if other monitors have the same fault
- Check wires 1 and 3 for 19V at the power supply and at the monitor to establish where the power failure lies
|
The monitor rings, lights up, but there is no image |
The fault lies in the video signal or distribution
- Check wires A and B which carry the video signal
- If the problem is system wide, simplify the system by connecting a monitor directly to the panel, thus removing the cabling
|
The monitor lights up, but there is no call tone |
- In this case you will not be able to open the door
- Check wire C
- Check the diode fitted onto the call button is connected with the Cathode (end with white stripe) towards the button
|
Monitor does not open the door |
- Check wire C
- Check the diode fitted onto the call button is connected with the Cathode (end with white stripe) towards the button
|
Monitor does not self light |
- If the fault is common to all monitors check the correct connection of wire E to the common of the door panel buttons
- If the fault is for only one monitor
- Check as above
- Check for short circuit between E and wire 1
|
The monitor lights up but the speec circuit buzzes |
Check that the cross sectional area of wires 1 and 3 is sufficient. If you are unable to increase the cable cross sectional area, you can insert a local power supply AN5498 close to the monitor.
Check your wiring is laid out according to the diagram. In particular look at wire 1. This wire should travel from the power supply, to the panel, then to the monitors.

Rolling picture, or dark bands on thje picture |
This is nearly always caused by low voltage at the monitor, because of reduced cable cross sectional area on wires 1 and 3. See above
